Debbie Mast Community Give Back

Since 2017, at the request of our then President, Debbie Mast, TFCA has partnered with a local charity or non-profit in the city where the Workshop was being held and asked attendees to support the organization with items needed to continue their mission. Items in need typically include toiletries, school supplies, and cleaning products. Following Debbie’s death in 2017, the Board formally named this annual initiative in Debbie’s honor and has continued selecting an organization each year to support.

The Transplant Financial Coordinators Association Board is pleased to announce that the recipient of this year’s TFCA Workshop Debbie Mast Give Back is the Emmaus House.

There will be a table in the Workshop meeting space at The DeSoto Hotel for attendees to leave donations. Emmaus House staff will collect the donations on Thursday morning September 19th. For those who aren’t attending in person, you can still support the Give Back initiative by visiting Emmaus House web page and make a tax-deductible contribution. I have attached a list of donations that should be easy to grab in Savannah and bring to our donation table.

On behalf of the Board, our sincere thanks to all who have made this initiative such a success in the past and who will, we have no doubt, make this year’s the biggest success yet!

What past attendees are saying

It was great seeing you all at the 12th Annual Workshop for Transplant Financial Coordinators where tremendous ideas about transplant patient care were shared. Being able to engage with all of you and listening to what you had to say about the patient transplantation experience helps us to improve on what we do best – supporting the transplantation community

You and the committee did an awesome job of organizing and running the conference. Your hard work and dedication to providing us with the information we need to effectively perform our roles as Transplant Financial Coordinators is greatly appreciated!

To everyone involved with putting together the Conference, Thank You. The sessions were well done this year, and there was a lot of knowledge passed around. The one thing that I quite enjoy about attending this conference is that even if I think I know something already, there’s always someone else that’s had a similar outcome or experience and it’s really nice to just talk things through with so many brilliant minds.
